Dear Sir, I write in response to both yours and "the Skippers" remarks in the Falmouth Packet dated Wednesday 9th September regarding Penryn Methodist Church's application to Penryn Town Council for a £50 grant. I found the "Skippers" remarks deeply offensive: We live in a Christian country and it is up to the individual parents to decide whether they wish their children to attend this club. From my own experience it is a lovely holiday club that both my children attended for years and that both have fond memories of. The volunteers that run it are unpaid dedicated kind people who look after the children, do lovely crafts, games, challenges and songs etc. They have a christian basis but at no time is Christianity "rammed down the throats" of the children. It is extremely good value and a local venture which I firmly believe should be wholeheartedly supported. Mrs Emma May, Polsethow, Penryn
