I congratulate Barbara Boase for her letter, for lamenting Cornwall's loss; failing to appreciate the true loss to not only Falmouth but as she rightly points out, Cornwall per se, and all down to a tiny minority of people opposed to what was once the normal practice of ongoing, regular dredging.
I'm afraid the forthcoming EU referendum apart, 'we' have allowed ourselves to be dictated to by minorities, do gooders and weak-kneed councillors/politicians (of all parties) who have failed to keep Britain truly 'Great', not least our workers in jobs.
