FOLLOWING the substantial public funding from inception to recent re-paving, one can sense the joy and expectation of the good people of Falmouth now that it is possible to partake of a pizza on the piazza.

Mind you, this exhilaration may be tempered with some doubts as to what the diary has (or not) to offer in the way of future events and entertainments. Apart from the occasional market, can one anticipate something more than a bleak expanse 90 per cent of the time as experienced over past years?

Ever grateful for small mercies, I am sure that those same good people of Falmouth are now relieved having seen the last of the odious two faced drinking fountain which blighted the Moor. Where does it reside now, one wonders?
