WOULDN'T it be nice if parking wardens could help alleviate traffic congestion? Since the council took over the role, I have not once seen a warden in Helston town centre. Numerous times cars have parked on the bus stops at the bottom of Coinagehall Street, forcing the buses to park further out in the road adding to the obstructions and making it difficult for the elderly and disabled people to cross the kennels and board the bus. However, where one can spot a traffic warden is in the car park having a little stroll around while in the meantime the traffic comes to a standstill out in the main road. I admit it is easier to walk around a level car park than it is up and down a hill in the high street. When Cornwall becomes a unitary authority and starts using the new nondescript logo consisting of Cornish coloured wavy lines that looks a bit like a train track gone wrong, maybe the logo could be incorporated into the traffic wardens' uniform to emphasise the fact that they have no connection with our local police force.
