I AM very concerned upon studying the proposed plans for the extension of Tremough to find that the loose term "lopping of several trees" to be part of the proposal.
As the mature trees make a beautiful entrance to our town, not to mention home to countless birds, I hope that these wonderful sights are not going to be replace by another student "ghetto" of rabbit hutch accommodation.
I would ask the question how long are these "hutches" built to last? I believe their life is 25 to 30 years. If so many of these majestic trees have to be cut down, I think it is tantamount to criminal damage!
Please review the plans and save these old trees. They are not a danger to anyone, look wonderful in their leafy glory through the summer and provide a much-needed "nursery" for the birds in spring.
I would be interested to know which trees are the "various" ones mentioned on the application.
