DESPITE all the previous correspondence about the proposed developments to Falmouth Golf Club, it was not until Heather Brandwood came around Twinbrook Park with two petitions against it that the residents here (who all signed both) became aware of how seriously this would affect them, especially with the building of two-storey holiday lodges in the field adjacent to Twinbrook.
Another resident, Mrs Langdon and I have put in written objections, but on receiving the standard replies and seeing for the first time what the development applications were for and after viewing the plan in the golf club, it became apparent that of the 48 holiday lodges planned, only 30 were on the golf course and the other 18 were to be erected (and sold to fund the development) on the field. But the change of use of agricultural land to extend the golf course makes no mention of this and surely invalidates the whole proposal!
If the proposed development were to go ahead it would be horrendous. The lane and entrance onto Swanpool Road is far too narrow and dangerous for any extra volume of traffic, but it is the only way of accessing the field and proposed extensions to the Golf Club.
