Against all planning policies the county planners in their wisdom have given permission for the Waitrose store and more housing etc on the eastern side of Truro.
Even Waitrose’s own figures admit Truro will lose eight per cent of their trade.
So much for looking after the people in Cornwall.
The farmer’s market will probably have to go and Truro will become a ghost town like other towns in Cornwall if we are not careful.
Kingsley Village will also be affected but still our planners couldn’t give two monkeys about that. It seems another piece of Cornwall will be tarmaced over on a green field site, brilliant.
Still, Eric Pickles the minister will have the last say so if you feel as I do about it then do write to him and let him know how you feel. Where are Mebyon Kernow when you need them most?
