Help needed trying to trace a family friend

I AM trying to trace any information on a Mr John Morris, sometimes known as Dick, a family friend of many years ago, who I believe was born in Helston and was later a Sergeant in the Royal Artillery stationed at Colchester in 1944. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
