Pre-school play area vandalism a disgrace (From Falmouth Packet)

Pre-school play area vandalism a disgrace
12:21pm Wednesday 6th June 2012 in Letters
It was sad to read in the Packet "Nasty People" vandalised and rampaged a pre-school play area and further reading of vandalism at Penmere Station.
You can read these acts of mindless vandalism most days in all the newspapers. Brain-dead dim-wits who I thought Mr Cameron was dealing with in the form of some sort of "Youth Conscription" in the run up to the Conservatives election. Bearing in mind that politicians are liars and cannot be trusted it was too much to hope for.
The preschool manager is facing fundraising to install CCTV, but dare I say this will be a waste of money as it is very rare a culprit is brought to justice through CCTV. Even a face that may be recognised on CCTV without witness at the scene at the time is hard to "nail".
I have been to Middle and Far East counties who don't have this problem. And until we have a Government that has the guts to bring a real deterrent here, these acts of violence and vandalism will carry on.
