Thrilled to see plane I built during war

I WATCHED the report on the helicopter flight on the Queen’s Jubilee day from start to finish!
How thrilled I was to see the Swordfish – I called out to the TV “I helped to make those.” I am now 94, Leeds born and bred and married a Cornishman at the end of the war. Girls were called up for war work and after four years in a music shop went to work for Blackburns of Brough, who had a factory in Leeds. I loved the work and became an inspector of parts for the plane, which was built elsewhere.
However, seeing it on this special day, brought back so many lovely memories.
