Too many groups trying to get their fingers in pies

Too many groups trying to get their fingers in pies Over the top bureaucracy is rife here in Cornwall and merely muddies the water in most issues of public concern, interest, etc.
Stating on page two of the Falmouth Packet (July 25) we first encounter that of the Falmouth Town Council and at the bottom of the page we read of the “Academy of Urbanism”. Page four then alludes to Cornwall Council , page five makes mention of Cornwall Association of Local Councils, page six speaks of Falmouth Town Forum and the possible formation of another group (the Community Interest Company (CIC)), page 15 brings to our attention the latest newly formed body (Cornwall Together).
I could no doubt have carried on spotting even more interested parties in our midst, affecting our lives not least parish councils and the ever increasing in numbers NIMBY’S.
But enough of these bodies, is surely enough suffice to say everyone wants to get their fingers into the pie that is local affairs and thus very little is quickly or democratically achieved other than generating a stifling amount of hot air resulting in delayed, protracted decisions, prevarication and general humming hand harring at high level, culminating as it does in Cornwall with our own unique syndrome – that of dreckly!

Now in reference to the soon to be appointed Community interest company, we have another unelected group, consisting of two County councillors and again assorted buisinessmen, who will then select directors to run it !! Why?
It should be run by the FTC and any money taken from these events ploughed back into Falmouth and her projects.
This is just the beginning as CC release back the assets which belonged to Falmouth in the first place, they will bid for more ie; could be the Church street car park and other well know places in Falmouth,
This is mooted as localism where is the ordinary Joe bloggs , the teacher the ordinary working man?
This is completly wrong and its no wonder the town
council rejected it, in it's present form. .
