Criminals do not deserve public ‘compensation’

“Worst” crook Weapons haul (FP,1/8) £55,000 damages blown in a year.
A person with such a criminal record – and there are plenty more like this one in our 80,000+ prison population, do not deserve “compensation” from the public purse. Our judicial system, long since (and rightly so) dubbed an “ass”, is outdated, biased and still operated a two-tier system, e.g. one law for the rich and/or powerful and another for the masses – poor.
When a country like Britain expends more of its money per capita on criminals than it does on looking after its own elderly, frail, week per prisoner, plus the cost of police time and money and all the court costs it reflects badly on us all.
