Older people’s forum gives them a voice
The Older People's Forum that is trying to be set up in Carrick has my full support.
It is about older people having a voice, the Government defines them as being over 50, I believe age is just a number and it is about how the person feels.
I would gladly welcome Skipper to our Forum or meet him to discuss the impact we have had. I will be at the Ask Restaurant launch in Truro on April 28 and would be only too glad to discuss this with him then.
This Forum needs the support of all to make a difference to these often forgotten people.
We all need to get behind this initiative, including the Falmouth Packet, and do all we can to promote its formation and support it.
Cllr Chris Goninan
Chairman of Penwith's Older People's Forum
