IN response to Margaret Richards article Cheese Plant goes North and Flourishes. My mum informs me that an uncle of hers managed to get one to flower and produce fruit.
His name was Jack and he used to be the head gardener at the Princess Pavilion around the 50s-70s. The Falmouth Packet ran an article on his participation with the film Treasure Island for which he supplied the plants for filming. We have the article cuttings and photos stored somewhere.
