THE issue of student accommodation in Falmouth and Penryn, or the lack of it, continues to grow in parallel with the increasing number of students arriving at Falmouth University.
To go by the amount of negative publicity that is being reported in the Packet each week would think that the paper is staging a vendetta against the students.
Nothing could be further from the truth, we are on the students’ side and so are a lot of people in Falmouth and Penryn.
Even those who are concerned about the expansion of student numbers know it is not the students’ fault.
Indeed one of our letter writers this week relates how his wife had to save some students who were freezing in their student let next door because they couldn’t afford to run the heating.
So none of us are anti-student or even anti-university - well maybe some are - but we just want a solution.
