Personal Overview - Gained this marginal constituency from the Liberal Democrats at her first attempt at standing for parliament in the area where she grew up. After a career background based in marketing, she moved to Age Concern and then followed this up becoming a Director of the International Longevity Centre in the UK, a think tank working with policy makers on developing positive and pragmatic responses to an ageing population. She has political experience as a former Councillor and has been active in a large number of voluntary organisations both locally and further afield. Locally, she has campaigned on NHS and health related issues and is committed to finding a viable future for Falmouth Harbour.

Personal Overview - Former Conservative Peer who defected to the UK Independence party successfully gained election to the European Parliament at the 2009 elections. From a background in accountancy, he has worked in several countries, including the United Arab Emirates and US. A former Hereditary Peer, he lost his seat in the House of Lords in November 1999 in the Lords reforms of that year. Having reinvented himself as a UK Independence member he has the opportunity to use his accountancy skills to highlight any financial issues within the EU.
