Police name cyclist in fatal Falmouth collision

Police have today officially named the cyclist who died in a collision in Falmouth just under a week ago.
Ernest Cooke, aged 58, died in hospital on Tuesday evening.
He had been suffering from serious head injuries, sustained when he and a car collided in Dracaena Avenue last Sunday.

- A 62-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and has been bailed until August 5.

Full programme released for Tall Ships regatta
The full regatta programme for the Funchal 500 Tall Ships Regatta has been finalised. Falmouth is playhing host to the start of the event, with a fleet of some 20 Tall Ships arriving by midday on Wednesday September 10 for four days of entertainment and spectacle before leaving on Saturday September 13 in a Parade of Sail preceding the race start.
