Police investigating the daubing of "racist slogans" onto the wall of Quenchwell Chapel near Carnon Downs have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with the incident.
Last month the building was entered and damage caused inside, in addition to the offensive graffiti. The writing has been described by police as racist.
Yesterday a man was arrested at around 9pm and interviewed before being bailed to reappear at Newquay police station on September 12.
Police are still appealing for any information regarding these offences.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
