Surfers tackle huge surf at Newquay's Cribber: VIDEO

With the water still warm, well not freezing, and huge waves slamming into the North Cornwall coast, surfers were out in force on Sunday.

A combination of offshore winds, those that blow from the land out to sea, and a long frequency large swell, saw nearly every surf spot and beach 'firing'.

Visitors to Newquay were treated to surfers tackling one of Cornwall's, and indeed the UK's most dangerous, and biggest waves, The Cribber.

The wave breaks only a few times a year off Towan Head and is suitable for only the bravest, or most foolhardy, surfers.

The 'Super Sunday' video below was shared online by Steve Patterson.
