Hollywood superstars to settle on the Lizard

Vampire-playing Hollywood actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are allegedly planning to get their teeth into living on the Lizard Peninsula.

The stars of the Twilight films are reported to have stayed at Lizard Point “a few weeks ago”, in a four-day trip to get their relationship back on track, and are now looking to buy a bolthole in the area.

The pair had split after Kristen was alleged to have had an affair with a married film director. However, the Sun has reported that the young couple are trying to work things out, with 26-year-old Robert – commonly known in the celebrity world as ‘RPatz’ – taking 22-year-old Kristen to The Lizard for a romantic break.

A “source” told the newspaper: “When Robert was growing up the whole family would go away on idyllic holidays to Falmouth, Truro and Newquay so he’s always thought of the area fondly.”

The source continued that Robert and Kristen spent a “fabulous few days just being normal” in Cornwall and that “hardly anyone bothered them”.

Although it is not known where the couple stayed, locals have suggested Cadgwith is the most likely retreat. They were so keen on the area that they are now looking to buy a remote cottage in the area and had “set their hearts” on a couple, with the hope of finalising on one soon, it was also alleged.

Ann Muller, of Ann’s Pasties at The Lizard, is convinced that she saw the couple during their visit to the village. She said a group of four, the younger couple of which she believed to be Robert and Kristen, came into the shop “definitely looking like they were from Hollywood.”

Ann told the Packet she was “pretty damn sure” she spotted the celebrities, adding: “It was a sunny, blustery day. When they whooshed out of the shop I said, ‘Who are they?’ They were ‘somebodies’. There was something about them that spelt that they were self confident, healthy and very good looking.”

She said the woman had the same hair colour and style as Kristen and wore the muted blacks greys that the actress is often photographed in. Their apparent visit leaves the questions of whether RPatz will change his name to R-Pasty, should he move to the area to be closer to the Cornish treat. “He could have brought his girlfriend out to his favourite pasty shop!” suggested Ann. Robert and Kristen met while playing lovers Edward Cullen and Bella Swan in the first of the Twilight films in 2008 – roles they have since reprised three more times, with a fifth film of the series due out next month.
