Club steps up to help Helston hospital
Guests have stepped up to support the first of many charity evenings in support of Helston Community Hospital at the Godolphin Club.
Organised by Selina Tresidder, the event included a quiz that challenged the general knowledge of five teams. First prize was a fish and chip supper, with second prize a two-course meal in Helston.
There was then a raffle, disco and auction of goods, for which town councillor Ronnie Williams acted as auctioneer. Mrs Tresidder said that as people were having so much fun at the disco and quiz it was decided to postpone most of the auction to the following weekend.
