Focus on history of P&O at Maritime Museum

THE history of one of the world’s most famous shipping companies will be the subject of a special talk at the Maritime Museum in Falmouth next week.
David Pollard will reveal the amazing story of how and why two young Scots entrepreneurs formed P&O – which began as a London-based ship broking partnership in 1822.
Tickets for the lecture, entitled “P&O: the Early Years”, takes place at 6.30pm on Wednesday, October 31, are available from the Maritime Museum on 01326 214546.
