Perfect Porthleven Hallowe'en party: PICTURES
It was all treat and no trick when a new business launched in Porthleven by holding two Hallowe’en parties for children.
Sparkle Parties and Events took over Porthleven Public Hall on Saturday, holding an event first for two to six-year-olds and then for seven to 11-year-olds.
Music was provided by DJ Wolf, aka Kurtis Holland, and there were some special guests in the form of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Party Bunny. Organiser Leigh Yates said: “It was a spooktacular success. It was really good fun and I’m really pleased.”
She added that the hall was “packed” for the both parties, with the young guests enjoying playing dances amongst bubbles and mist from a smoke machine. Mrs Yates, who has set up the party and events business to run from Porthleven but cater for all of Cornwall, explained: “There isn’t anything around here that does children’s party planning.”
She is now planning a Winter Ball for children in Porthleven on Sunday, December 9.
