Pool vets celebrate 1000th customer

A Pool vets have celebrated their first anniversary by welcoming their 1000th customer.
Vet Jason Holt and the Penmellyn team at Pool said they were delighted to see Mrs Ringwood of Camborne with her dogs Harvey and Kara.
She was presented with a bunch of flowers and some toys, food and shampoo for her dogs.
Mrs Ringwood was taking advantage of the practice's free health check offer, open to all new patients.
She said "I walked into a very clean and friendly surgery. The staff were so warm and helpful, I signed my two dogs up to them straight away.
"I cannot recommend this veterinary practice enough. I always go on first impressions and I am honestly impressed, especially to know that in the future my dogs are going to be well treated in a lovely calm environment."
Vet Jason Holt, who grew up in Illogan, said: "All the team are delighted with the response of the local community. It’s always a nervous time opening a new business, but with the support of Penmellyn's Veterinary Hospital, in St Columb, we're working hard to establish Penmellyn's reputation for the best of veterinary care down here in Pool.
"We pride ourselves on offering our clients continuity and really getting to know their pet; our practice is fully equipped with surgical, dental, blood sampling and digital x-ray and we are able to refer any major cases directly into the St Columb hospital.
"One of our little pups suffered a fractured elbow just this weekend, and by Saturday evening he'd been operated on by our orthopaedic surgeon and was already starting his recovery.
"Being able to offer that range of veterinary care, from local practice to advanced hospital, is part of what we think makes our Penmellyn team so special"
