For the first time in five years, November 11 falls on a Sunday this week, and across Cornwall Remembrance services will be held to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

In Falmouth the Remembrance Sunday parade and service will be held at Kimberley Park. At 10am a civic party will assemble at Municipal Buildings for light refreshments before gathering at 10.25 on the Moor, departing at 10.40am for a parade to Kimberley Park.

The 11am service will be conducted by the mayor’s chaplain Captain Colin Brown C.A at the War Memorial including two minutes silence and wreath laying. At 11.30am parade departs Kimberley Park for return to the Moor for a march past and salute by the mayor. The town council have agreed to provide tea and coffee in the Municipal Buildings following the parade where lift facilities will be available in Webber Street.

In Penryn the Remembrance Day service will be held at St Gluvias Church at 11am. Guests are requested to assemble in Penryn Town Hall by 10.15am prior to processing to St Gluvias Church for the Remembrance order of service. Light refreshments available on return to the Town Hall.
 

An open invitation is also extended to attend the Act of Remembrance on Sunday, November 11 at 10.50am at the Memorials Garden, Quay Hill, Penryn.
There is also a Memorial Service at Penryn Rugby Club 2pm – 2.30pm.
