A Helston shop is celebrating this week after being shortlisted for an industry award.
The Original Factory Shop on Coinagehall Street is in the running for the Customer Service Initiative of the Year gong at next year’s Retail Week Awards.
Aimed at recognising “an initiative launched by a retailer that delivers new standards in customer service,” The Original Factory Shop’s “shop online...offline” service impressed the judging panel by demonstrating the company’s understanding of its customer needs.
Store manager Stephen Bath said: “Our ‘shop online without the internet’ initiative offers customers who don’t have access to the internet or who don’t have a credit card the chance to still enjoy the great deals available on our website, by ordering in store and paying by cash if they want to do so.
“The goods they purchase will then be delivered to their home.
“We haven’t won the award yet, but we’re over the moon to have made it on the shortlist for such a prestigious award.
“This just recognises all the hard work our colleagues have put in since day one and highlights our dedication to always go the extra mile for our customers,” he added.
The winners the Retail Week Awards will be announced in March 2013.
