A comedy concert in Helston has raised a “considerable sum”for Nare Point Coastwatch.
It has left organisers from the coastwatch centre all smiles – and not just because of the jokes from the guest star, comedian Johnny Cowling.
He had the audience of 230 people in fits of laughter at the Old Cattle Market, as they helped raise money to keep people safe at sea.
Lesley Suddes, who helped organise the event, said: “We had a great evening.
“The house was packed, Johnny Cowling put on a fantastic show and we raised a considerable sum for Nare Point Coastwatch.”
