Three senior members of the Eden Project, Sir Tim Smit, Peter Stewart and Rita Broe, received honours from The Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace last week.
Sir Tim received a Knighthood for services to public engagement with science while Peter and Rita became Members of the Royal Victorian Order (MVO) for personal services for the Queen in relation to the Big Jubilee Lunch.
Richard Eyre, Chairman of Eden Project Limited, said: "We are very proud of these special people. They are characteristic of the energy, passion and sheer hard work of the many people who keep Eden wonderful."
Sir Tim, Chief Executive, Development and Co-founder of the Eden Project, worked for ten years in the music industry as composer/producer in both rock music and opera before moving to Cornwall to restore the Lost Gardens of Heligan. He remains a Director of the gardens to the present day.
