An overturned tanker carrying as much as 3,000 gallons of slurry has closed the A30 eastbound at Scorrier.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 10.20am after a road traffic collision was reported on the eastbound slip road.

A second tanker is currently clearing up the lorry's "load" according to police officers.

The Exeter-bound carriageway of the A30 is closed and won't reopen until lunchtime, the police estimate.
