Part of Penryn town centre was closed to traffic last Friday as emergency services dealt with a fire.
A section of Lower Market Street was shut just before 2pm when police and firefighters from Falmouth were called to Christopher Rose & Co solicitors’ office after a fire broke out in a rubbish bin on the ground floor of the four-storey building.
Crews arrived in two fire engines and used a hose reel and a jet to put out the small fire, before clearing the building of smoke with a high pressure fan.
Officers from Falmouth police station were also on the scene, with an ambulance called for one man who was in the building.
