Instant fame or eternal shame? Big Brother comes to Cornwall

Attention seekers everywhere are in for a treat this month when an iconic reality television show holds auditions across the county.

Big Brother, which now airs on Channel 5, is returning for its 14th series this year and programme makers Endemol are looking for Cornish contestants.

Auditions will be held in Falmouth's Mango's Bar and Club from 10pm on Friday, January 25, Zone nightclub in Redruth the day before and The Office nightclub in Truro on the Saturday.

Prospective contestants must be aged 18 or over on February 28 and should be “passionate, vibrant and interesting” with “a zest for life and a story to tell,” according to organisers.

A spokesman said: "This could be your chance to have the summer of a lifetime and the opportunity to win a life changing amount of money."
