Helston-based disaster relief charity ShelterBox have been kept busy helping residents displaced by flooding across the county in recent weeks.
ShelterBox response teams were on site in Lostwithiel before Christmas helping to co-ordinate replacement accommodation for flood-hit homeowners including a man and his disabled mother who needed to be moved to the home of another resident who had made space for them.
The charity had eight tents on standby in the town, which fortunately were not needed as the local community rallied round to provide accommodation for those evacuated.
