Falmouth teen in court over freewheeling bus boat smash

Allegedly causing almost £13,000 worth of damage in Ponsharden boatyard landed a Falmouth teenager in court this week.

Luke Anthony Pentecost, of Meadowbank Road, stands accused of criminal damage after a Western Greyhound bus was sent careering into parked boats when its handbrake was released on July 21 last year.

The 19-year-old is also charged with smashing the window of the former branch of Santander bank on Killigrew Street on November 6, last year.

The boatyard case was adjourned until April 19 at 10am for a crown court trial to take place.

The case of the smashed window was adjourned until April 24 to await the outcome of the crown court hearing.
