The deadline for a decision on a controversial 90-home development at Mabe has been extended.
Plans to build 90 new houses on land between Treliever Road and the A39 have angered some villagers, with one resident and local landowner claiming that house builders were “not developing” but “destroying” the county at a public meeting held in December.
Cornwall Council's so-called “determination deadline” for the planning application, which includes a mix of 12 flats and 78 two, three or four bedroom houses, was Friday, January 11.
But this has now been extended until April 23 for the council’s planning committee to make a decision.
UPDATE - Cornwall Council's strategic planning committee are due to consider the development at their meeting on Thursday.
