Woman injured in accident on A30 at Redruth

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after an accident involving a lorry on the A30 near Redruth this afternoon.

Emergency servicse were called to the scene, just before the Avers overbridge on the A30, at midday.

The road has been closed at Chiverton Cross and the police say it is likely to be closed for some time.

Diversions are in place and drivers are asked to avoid the area for the time being.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting log 229 of 010213.
