A teenager who reversed over and killed his mother during an argument over how much he had drunk has been sent to a young offenders institution.

Lewis Foster, 19, from St Austell, admitted causing the death of his mother Deborah Jones due to careless driving while under the influence of alcohol.

He did not have a valid driving licence.

Foster was sent to the young offenders institution for 12 months. He was also banned from driving for four years.
