Beacon Partnership rejects closure rumours

The Beacon Community Regeneration Partnership in Falmouth has denied it is in trouble and about to close, but claims it is actually making plans to improve the services it offers.
Leaflets have been delivered to homes across the Old Hill estate claiming that the award-winning initiative is about to fold despite its successful track record.
Grenville Chappel, BCRP’s project coordinator, was quick to quash the rumour this week, though.
“The Beacon Partnership, even if we do not get our funding, will have enough funding to sack me and run it with volunteers,” he said.
“We are, though, actually looking stronger than ever and we are here to stay, like it or not.”
