Secrecy as usual in the superyacht world surrounds the arrival at the docks next week of the multi-million pound, 78-metre yacht Amaryllis.
It is understood that A&P Falmouth and Pendennis Shipyard, as lead contractor, will work closely alongside each other to carry out a refit on the vessel.
Christine Winans from Pendennis, said: “There is no definite news to report at this point in time.”
Nobody was available for comment at A&P Falmouth.
Launched in 2011 by Abeking & Rasmussen the blue-hulled Amaryllis is a sister vessel to the Eminence which berthed on Queen’s Wharf two years ago.
According to internet websites, the owner of Amaryllis is American billionaire businessman Richard DeVos. He is co-founder of Amway along with Jay Van Andel, and owner of the Orlando Magic NBA basketball team.
Amaryllis is listed as 84th in the world’s top 100 largest super yachts.
