Plan to alter one of Falmouth's oldest houses

Falmouth councillors have deferred making any recommendation on plans to alter one of the oldest houses in the town until they have had a meeting with the planning case officer.
Nigel Crofton has applied for planning consent to convert the property at 2 Arwenack Avenue from one house to two and to build a three storey replacement extension. Conservation area consent is also being sought to demolish the existing extension and part of a boundary wall.
Mayor Geoffrey Evans said: “It is one of the oldest houses in the town and is an important property.”
