Legendary medium Derek Acorah brings show to Falmouth

Arguably the most renowned spirit medium in the country, Derek Acorah will be appearing at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth on Sunday, March 3.

Having demonstrated to hundreds of thousands of people in theatres throughout the UK over his 25 year career in the public eye, Derek is also the pioneer for spiritualism and mediumship on television with more than 15 years on screen. Notably, he became the first medium ever to demonstrate live on air and without the benefit of an edit suite.

The author of 11 books, two of which achieved the top of The Times Non-fiction Best Seller list, and have been translated into Russian and Mandarin.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Advance tickets cost £17.50 / £16 from the box office on 01326 211222 or online via SeeTickets and Hall for Cornwall.

Handy when you can just reprint the press release verbatim, isn't it?
I'm depressed that people still go and spend money on this rubbish.

I am one who goes to see shows such as this - Stephen Holbrook is absolutely fabulous and I was lucky enough for my father to come through a couple of years ago. Stephen told me things that only my father could have known, said things that my father used to say - I was not convinced even so, so, when I got home I asked for a 'sign' to let me know if it was indeed my dad - during the night there was a loud banging on the door which, unusually. woke me up - not only did I get woken up by it, my husband and dogs did too - there was no-one there - don't mock what you know nothing about. I was also there when a girl who had been killed on the by-pass at Penryn came through, the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end - I knew immediately who he was talking about, even though I didn't know her personally - her mother was in the audience and it gave great comfort to her as it does for anyone who has a message. I will definately be going again whether it be Derek Acorah, Stephen Holbrook, Colin Fry or whoever.

I agree Meerkats.

Personally, I don't believe in people who don't believe in anything that they don't have physical evidence of. A very limited bunch, I find.

But I'm not sure about this guy with his glossy TV personality: I bet there are many lesser-known mediums (could I call them medium mediums?) who graft honestly over their crystal balls for much less reward. If I wanted messages from the spirit world (I didn't take the advice of my deceased friends and family when they were alive so I don't see why I should now), I would go see one of them and save myself a few bob!
