Penzance teen named as third victim of Cairngorms avalanche

A Penzance teen was amongst the victims of an avalanche in the Highlands of Scotland that claimed three lives.

William Currie, aged 18, died on Thursday after a snow slide in the Chalamain Gap entrance to the Lairig Ghru mountain pass, near Aviemore.

Two RAF men travelling separately from Mr Currie were also killed. They have been named as Flight Lieutenant Fran Capps, aged 32, of Somerset, and Squadron Leader Rimon Than, aged 33, based in North Wales.
