Love was in the air at Helston's Trengrouse House nursing home when residents invited relatives in for a Valentine's Day dinner.
Touchingly, one resident said it was the first Valentine's dinner he had been able to enjoy with his wife in 25 years.
At another table, the daughter of one of the residents enjoyed dinner with her father.
Manager Julie Jackson-Halliwell said: “It was for our clients to have an opportunity to mix with the local community and also about getting the loved ones in to the home as well.”
There were many compliments to the chef, Mel Thorpe, who served a choice of melon balls or prawn cocktail for starter and roast beef or vegetarian lasagne for main course. The meal was finished with even red velvet cake or apple crumble and custard.
All the tables were decorated with hearts, to add to the loving atmosphere.
“It was lovely to see,” added Mrs Jackson-Halliwell. “I'd like to say thank you to our chef - the compliments we had from relatives, with regards to the meal, were absolutely wonderful.”
