Culdrose Air Day set for return

This year will see the return of RNAS Culdrose Air Day.

The date has been set for Wednesday, July 24. More details are to follow but the event, which is the one day of the year when the gates of the naval base are opened to members of the public, is likely to include the usual mix of aircraft displays in the air and exhibitions on the ground.

Examples of activities from past events can be found online at thepacket.co.uk Last year saw the cancellation of the annual event, due to resurfacing works to the runway leaving the base unable to host large numbers of visiting aircraft.

Operational commitments and personnel being involved in last summer’s London Olympic Games were also factors in the decision.
