The Rotary Club of Penryn has launched a new youth arm, the first of its kind west of Bristol, aimed at pupils aged seven to 12.

Rotakids Club was officially opened at Penryn Junior School earlier this month, when the club certificate from Rotary International Great Britain was presented by John James, district governor for Cornwall.

Mr James told the school council, who all received a Rotakids badge, that he was very “proud and pleased” with the project, with the next nearest in Portishead near Bristol.
