Was Old Hill window vandalism an air gun attack?

The use of an air gun is suspected after two windows were shattered in the Old Hill area of Falmouth on Valentine’s Day.

Two acts of criminal damage were reported to the police at about 7pm after window glass was broken in Pendarves Road and Tresillian Road on Thursday, February 14.

“We suspect it’s an air weapon purely because it’s shattered the glass but there are no stones or rocks or that sort of thing,” said Sergeant Martin Roberts from Falmouth Police Station.

He is appealing for anyone with any information to contact the police on 101, ref GP/13/298 or 299.

That's awful! It must be bad enough living on a street called 'Broken Old Hill' without having to suffer mindless acts of vandalism...

In any case, that's grammatically incorrect - '...windows was...?
