Harmony choir hands funds to good causes
There was a party atmosphere when four local good causes received a share of the money raised by the Falmouth Christmas Harmony Choir’s annual street collection.
Falmouth Bowling Club was the venue for the presentation evening which saw the £1,407.48 collected on Christmas Eve divided between the organisations chosen by the choir’s committee.
Those receiving cheques were Falmouth Street Pastors, Dementia UK Cornwall, Falmouth Festival Fund and the Pirate Ship for a Princess campaign which is raising cash to create a lasting memorial at St Francis School to schoolgirl Chloe Edwards.
Entertainment was provided during the presentation evening by The Lemonaires and there was also a raffle and buffet.
The Falmouth Christmas Harmony Choir has been entertaining the festive crowds for 111 years and has donated many thousands of pounds to various charities.
