First published in News

The Friends of St Keverne School will be hosting an evening with Cornish comedian Johnny Cowling at the village’s Parish Hall on March 7.

Tickets are expected to be snapped up quickly so early booking is advisable.

All proceeds from the event will go towards updating the outdoor sports and play equipment at the school.

As well as stand up from the comedian, the charity evening at St Keverne will include live music from Tom Briggs of The Ducks, a licensed bar and a raffle featuring a cash prize and donations from local businesses.

Doors will open at 7pm and Cowling is due on stage at 8pm. Tickets cost £12 and include a pasty.

They are available from St Keverne Newsagents, Oliver’s the Butchers in Helston, Newtown Filling Station or by calling Alison on 01326 281200.
