Daredevils are being sought to jump out of a plane in aid of a charity that helps provide end-of-life care across Cornwall.

Cornwall Hospice Care is hosting two tandem parachute days on April 20 and September 14 at the Cornish Parachute Club.

Jumpers will fall from 10,000 feet to raise funds for the charity and help them provide specialist care to adults in Cornwall with life limiting illness.

Tamsyn Cocks, who jumped last year, said: “The whole experience from start to finish was out of this world.

“I would encourage anyone to take the plunge, from the moment my feet touched the ground I wanted to go again.

“The feeling of floating back down to earth is indescribable, and although the jump only lasted around eight minutes the memories will stay with me forever - and the fact I got to help Cornwall Hospice Care in the process is a huge bonus.”

Amy Barnie, who organises parachute days for the charity said: “The Cornish Parachute Club has an experienced British Parachute Association qualified team to help guide participants through the jump, and everyone who signs up will have full support from the charity.

“Spaces are filling fast on this spectacular challenge so we are encouraging anyone who is interested to get in touch.”
