Vandalised vehicles spark Falmouth police appeal: MAP

A sporadic slew of car and van vandalism across Falmouth in the last seven days has the police appealing for witnesses.

A blue VW Polo on Arwenack Avenue had its window smashed overnight between Wednesday (February 27) and the following day (Thursday, February 28). ref: GP/13/419

On the Friday the rear windscreen of a Peugeot parked on Noweth Place, off Lambs Lane, was smashed while on the same night what police describe as a "boulder" was thrown through a van window parked on a drive in Trescobeas Roadref: GP/13/426

The nearside wing mirror of a silver Rover 45 parked on Tresawle Road in Old Hill was also "removed by unknown means" overnight on Sunday, the police said. ref: GP/13/453

Anyone with any information about any of these crimes is urged to call Falmouth Police on 101, quoting the reference numbers above.

I had my car walked on several times when in Greenbank because the high pavement made it easy for yobs.

If these people are caught it would be a good idea to make them pay for the damage,even if it takes them years to do so.A obligitory reward funded by the perpetrator too might help people in the know snitch on them.

What if we just confiscate all their Playstations/Xboxes etc as punishment? Or smash their games consuls with sledge hammers in front of them? Try to punish them where it hurts, is my point. These sort of individuals never pay damages and regard doing time as cool.
