A Flushing drink driver who hit and injured a moped rider has had her court set curfew lifted to go to two paries.
Diane Brown, aged 55, of Trevissome Court, Trevissome, pleaded guilty to drink driving at Arch Hill, Truro on January 10 when she registered 76 mcg alcohol in breath, more than twice the legal limit.
The court heard that a member of the public had been so concerned at Brown’s driving when her car was swerving over the road that he followed her car for quite a long way, during which time Brown’s car collided with a moped, injuring the rider, however she did not stop.
The same member of the public followed Brown into the football club car park, where he waited with her until the police arrived.
Brown blamed a kitten delivery and Martini lemonades.
She was banned from driving and handed an over night curfew for 12-weeks .
Magistrates have agreed to lift the curfew to allow Brown to travel to a 40th and an 80th birthday.
